Contribute Photographs:

You've got great photos that show the beauty of birds.  Why not share them?  It's fun, it's free and it's easy - you get the credit and folks using our apps will have a chance to see them.

In addition to gorgeous pictures, we're looking for images that show specific field characteristics and plumages that will help people identify birds.

The pictures must be your own and you will need to OK them being shown in our apps and on our websites. For the details, some fine print, and a submission form, please check out the following link:

iOS App Developer

Job Summary: Your job is to write the best iOS birding app that ever existed, and keep making it better every year.  

  • Work with your BirdsEye teammates to define the specifications for BirdsEye enhancements, including data structures, code architecture, API definitions
  • Areas of knowledge: iOS app development, including publishing in the app store, SQLite, APIs, user account subscription management, crash logging, conversion tracking, GPS and mapping
  • Develop, present, implement and document technical solutions to meet specifications
  • Work with your teammates to prioritize enhancements and bug fixes over time 
  • Coordinate the work of outside developers who will be hired on an as-needed basis
  • Android App Development, server-side Phython/SQL or server maintenance experience a plus

Requirements:  Please do not apply unless you meet ALL of the following requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in programming or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience as a programmer, with at least one commerical iOS app under your belt
  • Preference will be given to birders

Pay: $50 to 85/hour or higher depending on experience, number of hours worked and whether you choose contract versus employee status

Type: Full time prefered, but part-time possible; contract or employee

Location: telecommute or work in from our Pasadena, CA office

 


Android App Developer
