iOS App Developer

Job Summary: Your job will be to help create the best birding app that ever existed.

  • Work with your BirdsEye teammates to define and execute improvements for BirdsEye enhancements, including data structures, code architecture, API definitions
  • Areas of knowledge: iOS app development, including publishing in the App Store, SQLite, APIs, user account, subscription management, crash logging, conversion tracking, GPS and mapping
  • Develop, present, implement and document technical solutions to meet specifications
  • Work with your teammates to prioritize enhancements and bug fixes over time
  • Coordinate the work of outside developers who will be hired on an as-needed basis
  • Android App Development, server-side Phython/SQL or server maintenance experience a plus

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years experience as a programmer, with at least one commerical iOS app under your belt
  • Preference will be given to birders
  • Important Note excellent English language skills are NOT a requirement for this position. We would be happy to have a birder on our team who lives and works in Europe, Africa, Latin America or Asia to help provide us with local birding knowledge in those areas.

Pay: Negotiable based on experience

Android App Developer

Job Summary: Your job is to work with a team of motivated, bright, fanatical birders to help build the best Android birding app that ever existed!

  • Work with your BirdsEye teammates to define the specifications for BirdsEye for Android
  • Areas of knowledge: Android app development, including publishing in the Google Market, in-app purchases, SQLite, APIs, user account subscription management, crash logging, conversion tracking, GPS and mapping
  • Develop, present, implement and document technical solutions to meet specifications
  • Work with your teammates to prioritize enhancements and bug fixes over time
  • iOS app development, server-side Phython/SQL or server maintenance experience would all be considered a plus
