BirdsEye Photography Contest: Birds of the Tropics
Thanks to users like you, BirdsEye Nature Apps has amassed one of the most complete and high-quality photo collections of birds, odes, and butterflies in the world! Our company is dedicated to acquiring a comprehensive and quality photo library for our nature apps, and we rely on our users for many of the brilliant images included in our apps.
To round out 2018, we are delighted to announce the first-ever BirdsEye Tropical Bird Photography Contest. The contest is designed to bolster our tropical bird collection and highlight the birders and photographers doing fantastic work in the tropics. Photo Guidelines:
We are looking for photos of tropical birds depicted accurately in their environment. Ultimately, these photos will feature in our apps and marketing campaigns to help users identify birds when they are in the field. (We always give proper credit to the photographer, of course.)
Judges are looking for clean, unobstructed photos of birds in a tropical environment. Extra consideration will be given to pictures of rarer birds, or photos depicting unique bird behaviors.
Contest Rules:
Photos for this contest should be submitted to birdseye.photo anytime between Nov. 25, 2018, and Jan. 5th, 2019. Potential winners may be asked to provide higher resolution photos, and/or .RAW files to help in judging. Winners will be contacted by January 25th.
Photos should be submitted as .JPGs and should be under 5 MB in size. We prefer to receive photos that are 576 x 720 pixels or larger. All submitters must agree to the BirdsEye’s Terms of Service.
All photos will require location information to verify they were taken in a tropical region. To be considered for the photo contest, all submissions must include the hashtag #photocontest2018 in the caption section of the submission page. Following the #photocontest2018, please include a short description of the bird.
